The primary challenge was to add a new feature to the automobile infrastructure that could intelligently monitor and share data among devices or nodes within the network. The existing system lacked efficient and robust connectivity, often resulting in communication failures or data loss when some nodes were disconnected or isolated. There was a need for a more reliable, self-sustaining network where data could be transferred even if a device dropped out.

We commissoned epteck to support our inhouse custom STM32MP1 based hardware. They were mostly working on the YOCTO BSP layers, including building secure boot support, YOCTO release upgrades, device tree work.
