Amir Zahoor’s has 8 years’ experience as a faculty member in FAST National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences and leading FAST Executive Development Center; includes having been trainer and consultant by a number of local and multinational organizations and educational resource centers across Pakistan. His areas of focus are personal social development and visionary leadership. In his efforts to bring about positive change in the nation’s professional environment, he organizes and leads IEEE Pakistan Students, Women in Engineering and Young Professional Congress since 2007 annually.
Amir holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering (2012), from the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Karlskrona Sweden with major in signal processing. He also certified in Advance Training of Trainers (ToT) from Netherland in 2010, Training of Trainers (ToT) under UN program and Train the Young Trainers (TTYT) from School of Leadership, Karachi Pakistan. He has volunteered in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers USA Inc. (IEEE) activities in different capacities from last 11 years.
He has conducted a variety of leadership and personal development development programs covering areas of interpersonal skills, communication skills, CV Writing, Interview Skills, entrepreneurship and culture change and more meaningful performance in organizations. Some of the organizations where he has worked/facilitated are IEEE, Y-Peer United Nations Program, British Counsel and more than 50 university campuses across Pakistan for training sessions since 2008.
Amir set up the FAST Executive Development Center and part of entrepreneurship eco-system in a country like Pakistan Startup Cup, Google’s Startup Grind, Techstars Startup Weekend, Jumps Start Pakistan to encourage youth to stimulate conscious endeavor to elevate their career being entrepreneur.
Being exposed to diverse cultures through extensive traveling and varied experiences, Amir believes in the value of diversity and the existence of immense potential in each and every individual. He was resources person and facilitator in many international events across countries like Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, India, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
